On May 18, the 2024 Wuhan New-generation Information Technology Industry Investment Forum was held in Shenzhen. Present at the event were more than 80 representatives from Wuhan's new-generation information technology industrial chain's main enterprises and their upstream and downstream enterprises, such as TCL CSOT, Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd., BOE, Skyworth, Mason Technology, and Bitland. At the forum, 38 projects were inked with a total investment of RMB 54.816 billion. Among them were 16 industrial projects, worth RMB 31 billion, and 22 service projects, worth RMB 23.816 billion.
In the new era, a number of entrepreneurs from the Greater Bay Area showed their optimism about Wuhan, expressing that they will increase their investments in Wuhan, explore Wuhan's potential, and assist with Wuhan's high-quality development.
As one of the early LED companies listed in China, Mason Technology located its Yangtze Mason Semiconductor plant in the Qingshan District at the end of 2022. "Last year, the company's memory products were sold in the global markets, and the sales exceeded RMB 100 million in the first year of its establishment." Gong Daoyi, chairman of Mason Technology, said at the meeting, "Next, Mason Technology will locate its business of new major capabilities, such as our newest LED manufacturing and memory semiconductors in Hubei and Wuhan."
Zhou Zhongwei, general manager of Skyworth, also stated that Wuhan is the prioritized national central city under construction, and the core city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and "It's definitely the best choice for us entrepreneurs."
