666 captive-bred Chinese sturgeon released into Yangtze River


A total of 666 artificially-bred Chinese sturgeon were released into the Yangtze River in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, on June 6, 2024. China’s 14 cities such as Wuhan, Shanghai and Nanjing organized activities to release 2.98 million rare species into the Yangtze River on the same day, in an effort to restore the species' wild population. (Photo: Chutian Metropolis Daily)
