Kobe is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture. It covers an area of 552.26 square kilometers and has a population of 1.54 million. It has the world’s second largest port Kobe Port, the world’s first artificial island and the world’s biggest cable stayed bridge - Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. It has formed a pattern with traditional industries as the center and co-development of other industries including fashion, tourism, health care, and food.
