Hirosaki is located in the northeast part of Japan. It has a total area of 524.12 square kilometers and about 181,000 people. It has advanced agriculture, education and tourism, and it produces one fifth of Japan’s total yield of apple. Hirosaki Park is a world-famous cherry blossom spot. The city is thus known as a “city of cherry blossom and apple”.
