Oakley is located in Contra Costa County in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. It became an incorporated city on July 1, 1999. It covers an area of 41.059 square kilometers and has a population of around 35,432. Oakley has developed into an important city in Silicon Valley, with its own landscape park, various entertainment and recreation facilities, and shopping center.
