Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Malaysia’s Sabah state. With an area of 815 square kilometers, and a population of 1.05 million, it is an important fishing industry base and a popular tourist destination for Malaysia and Sabah and Borneo states. It is also one of the most important commercial centers in Malaysia. Just a 30 minutes’ drive from Kota Kinabalu lies the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park. Established in 1994, this industrial center has been vigorously promoted by the government.
