Mungyeong City is located in the northwestern inland mountainous region of North Gyeongsang Province, southeastern South Korea. It covers an area of 911.73 square kilometers and has a population of about 71,000. Mungyeong is an important transportation hub connecting Seoul and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
