Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil

Foz do Iguaçu is located at the confluence of the Paraná and Iguazu Rivers on the border of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. The city covers an area of 630 square kilometers and has a population of 260,000. The city’s economy is dominated by tourism and is the second largest tourist center in Brazil, receiving an average of about seven million tourists per year. Located on the Paraná River, a border river between Brazil and Paraguay, Itaipu Hydropower Station is the second largest hydropower plant in the world.
