Cheongju City, located in central South Korea, is the capital of Chungcheongbuk-do Province, covering an area of approximately 941 square kilometers with a population of around 850,000. The city has convenient transportation, abundant educational resources, and a developed economy, serving as a high-tech hub and a leading center for economic development in central South Korea. Cheongju is home to well-known companies such as SK Hynix, Korea Ceramic, LG Chem, and Samsung SDI. As an eco-friendly city where nature and culture coexist, Cheongju was selected as an East Asian City of Culture in 2015.
