St. Pölten, Austria

St. Pölten is the capital of Lower Austria State with an area of 108 square kilometers and a population of 55,000. The city is famous for its baroque-style architecture in Europe. Its landmark building, the city hall, has a history of more than 500 years. The city enjoys a well-developed winery industry and it is close to Wachau Valley, a famous white wine production section in Europe. Tourism is the city’s pillar industry.
