In 2026, Wuhan and Christchurch of New Zealand mark the 20th anniversary of becoming sister cities. Phil Mauger, Mayor of Christchurch, paid another visit to Wuhan from June 6 to 8. He experienced the Optics Valley Sky Rail, visited Beihu Sewage Treatment Plant and the former residence of Rewi Alley. Both sides spoke highly of the profound friendship and look forward to deepening cooperation in youth exchanges and green development.
