Biratnagar, Nepal

Biradnagar is the second largest city in Nepal, only after the capital Kathmandu. Located in the southeast of the country, it covers an area of 58.48 square kilometers and has a population of 210,000, most of whom believe in Hinduism. Biradnagar has extensive road connections and an all-weather airport. It is an important new industrial center in Nepal and a commercial center in the eastern region, with jute, match, sugar and textile factories. Nylon, plastic, steel and other industries have been established in recent years.
