East Palo Alto is located in San Mateo County, California, the US. It is situated on the San Francisco Peninsula, roughly halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. It became a city on July 1,1983. It covers an area of 6.5 square kilometers and, according to the 2010 United States Census, has a population of 28,155.
