Jinja is the capital city of Jinja Province in Uganda, located in the east of Uganda. Located on the the birthplace of the White Nile, the city has a population of more than 70,000. In the past, factories chose Jinja as their base because of the city’s proximity to a power station next to the Owen Falls dam. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the economy of Jinja City has begun to grow steadily, and the main economic activities have also moved to the central business district.
