Kota Kinabalu, situated in the northwest part of Kalimantan Island, is the capital of Malaysia’s Sabah state. Covering an area of 351 square kilometers, with a population of  approximately 500,000, it stands as one of Malaysia’s vital fishing bases, tourist attractions, and foremost commercial hubs. It is often referred to as the “Gateway to Sabah”, attracting visitors from around the globe.
