Daegu Metropolitan City is located in the southeast of the ROK, covering  an area of 883.68 square kilometers with a population of approximately 2.39 million. It is the fourth-largest city in the ROK and is recognized by UNESCO as the “City of Music” in the Creative Cities Network. Traditional industries in Daegu include textiles, machinery, and automotive components while emerging industries such as new energy, robotics, and information communication technology are on the rise.
