Kemi is a city located in northern Finland, situated between the Baltic Sea and the Tornio River. It is a typical Arctic city, just over an hour's drive from the Arctic Circle. It has an area of 95.38 square kilometers and a population of about 30,000. Kemi is known for its magnificent natural scenery and unique ice and snow tourism. Kemi has a well-developed pulp and wood industry and is a coastal industrial city in Lapland and a port of transhipment on the Gulf of Bothnia.
