Chisinau is the capital and the largest city of Moldova. Located in central Moldova, it is the political, economic and cultural center of the country. It has a population of about  662,800, and an area of  571.6 square kilometers. Chisinau has been founded for more than 500 years. The major industries  are winemaking, food processing, chemical industry, machine building, building materials, and services.
