Kópavogur, Iceland

Kópavogur, located on the southeast coast of Fahsa Bay and south of the capital Reykjavik, is the second largest city in Iceland. It covers an area of 83.72 km2 and has a population of around 40,000. It is one of the main fishing ports in Iceland and an important base for whalers in the North Atlantic. Kópavogur has the largest shopping market in Iceland.
