Located in central Palestine and north of Jerusalem, Ramallah is the political, economic, cultural, educational and tourism center of Palestine. It covers an area of 20 km² and is home to about 70,000 people. Its pillar industry is tourism and manufacturing, and most Palestinian enterprises and organizations have set up headquarters here.
