Oita, Japan

Oita is located in Oita Province of Kyushu in southwest Japan, with an area of 502.39 km2 and a population of around 470,000. The city is the manufacturing base of many famous companies such as Nippon Steel, Canon, Toshiba, Showa Denki, etc. It has an international port and rich tourist resources, especially the remarkable hot springs. Moreover, it launched the popular “One Village One Signature Product” city promotion campaign, cementing its status as a new industrial city designated by the Japanese government.
