Deputy Prime Minister of Lesotho visits Wuhan

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Lesotho. From April 23 to 24, Hon. Nthomeng Majara, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho, made her first visit to China, landing in Wuhan, Hubei Province. During her stay, she visited Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan United Imaging Healthcare Co., Ltd, Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine as well as Union Hospital, with a focus on cooperation in areas of agriculture and healthcare.

Since 1997, Hubei has been sending medical teams to Lesothofor aid missions. To date, a total of 18 medical teams, comprising 193 membershave been dispatched. In addition to sending doctors to Lesotho, Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine has established a pairing mechanism of cooperation with MaseruDistrictHospitalin that country.
