Hirosaki is located in the northeast part of Japan. It has a total area of 524.12 km² and has about 180,000 people. It has advanced agriculture, education and tourism, and it produces one-fifth of Japan’s total yield of apples. Hirosaki Park is a world-famous cherry blossom spot, known as a “city of cherry blossoms and apples”.
