The state of Bremen is located at the estuary of the River Weser. It covers an area of 325 square kilometers and has a population of about 550,000. It has advanced shipping, ship-building, automobile, electronics and aerospace industries. Bremerhaven is Germany’s second largest port as well as one of the biggest fishing ports of Europe.
