Siem Reap Province is located in the northwest of Cambodia, 314 kilometers from the capital city of Phnom Penh. Covering an area of approximately 15,000 km², it has a population of around 800,000. The province boasts a wealth of cultural heritage sites and abundant tourist resources, with a total of 292 ancient temples. Among these, the famous Wat Angkor, recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World by UNESCO, is situated here. At the southern tip of the province lies the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, the Tonle Sap Lake. The province's main industries are tourism, agriculture, and fisheries.
