Galle, Sri Lanka

Galle is the capital city of Southern Province,  Sri Lanka, covering an area of approximately 17 square kilometers  with a population of around 100,000. It serves as the commercial and cultural hub of the southern region of Sri Lanka. The city's spectacular beaches and unique historical and cultural landmarks attract numerous tourists. The Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site built in the 17th century, is one of Sri Lanka's most famous historical treasures.
