Foreign Affairs Office of Wuhan Municipal People's Government

It conducts research and studies on the central tasks of the city and provides suggestions on foreign affairs and Hong Kong and Macao affairs to the CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee and the Wuhan Municipal People's Government; It works to serve the city's economic and social development through external exchanges.

Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Wuhan Municipal People's Government

I. It follows through on and implements the principles and policies on work related to Hong Kong and Macao formulated by the Chinese government. It is in charge of the Hong Kong and Macao related affairs in Wuhan.

II. It reviews and approves official outbound trips of all municipal institutions to Hong Kong and Macao, issues Exit-Entry Permits for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao (EEP) and applies for endorsements for travelers on official missions. 

III. It facilitates relationship and exchange between Wuhan and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and promotes exchanges and cooperation in different sectors.

IV. It is responsible for approving and receiving the visits of government officials, heads of well-known enterprises, and friendly personages from Hong Kong and Macao. 

Wuhan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

Founded in 1956, the Wuhan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (WPAFFC) is a Wuhan-based municipal people's organization. The aims of the Association are to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the people of Wuhan and those of the world and safeguard world peace. It is committed to keeping contacts and facilitating mutual exchanges with the friendly-to-China organizations in various countries and people across different sectors. It serves as a vital link for the development of friendly relations between the people of Wuhan and people from all over the world. In launching its activities, it has support from the municipal government and assistance from all sectors of the society. Its operations are carried out under the guidance of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).
